Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Night Lights (ranked 4371 p4p, 16329 weight class) and Nick Dalton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Night Lights! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Dalton! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Dalton scores with a takedown into Lights's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Lights wants to sweep here but Dalton controlling him for the moment. Lights controls Dalton momentarily but Dalton frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dalton stands up from guard. Let's bang! Dalton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lights napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Dalton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lights to the mat! Lights manages to get full guard. Lights is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Dalton dives into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lights wants to hold on but Dalton pushes him away. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Lights gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dalton to score an easy takedown into full guard. Dalton stands and steps away. Lights gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Dalton shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lights is trying to defend but Dalton finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dalton escapes and gets back to his feet. Lights gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Dalton gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Dalton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lights is looking to stand back up but Dalton counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lights.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dalton prevents Lights from improving his position. Lights is looking to get back to full guard here but Dalton has managed to pass to side control instead. Dalton decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lights to his feet. Dalton shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Lights pushes Dalton off but Dalton dives into side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Night Lights showed his dominance in that final round. I think Dalton has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
