This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Jacob Fuisse! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 10 losses; Beaver Shaver! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. A momentary lapse in concentration from Fuisse enables Shaver to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fuisse manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Fuisse (0) vs (2) Shaver Fuisse not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Shaver tries to free his leg and advance position but Fuisse is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shaver works a leg free and moves into half guard. Fuisse makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fuisse. Fuisse seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Shaver moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Fuisse stands and throws Shaver's legs to the side, diving into side control. Shaver works his way back into a safe position though. Fuisse working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shaver doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shaver manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Fuisse has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Shaver is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Fuisse. Well, with Shaver on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Fuisse is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Shaver working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Shaver trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Fuisse is trying to roll into a better position but Shaver has get a rear naked choke and Fuisse is forced to tap out! This one is allllll over!
