Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Daly (ranked 3410 p4p, 3902 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roger Daly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Mir!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Daly has closed the distance and engaged Mir in a clinch.
Mir jumps guard but Daly stands there with Mir around his waist. Mir gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Daly presses Mir against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Daly creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Mir tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

It looks like Frank Mir has been cut.

Daly gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Mir should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Daly digs a right hand into Mir's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Mir's gas tank.
Daly lands with a light punch inside.
Daly drops Mir with a big knee straight up the middle! Mir is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Mir is rocked!

Mir gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Daly points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Mir wakes up just in time to hear Daly thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Roger Daly!
A relieved looking Roger Daly thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
