Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Konstantin Dimakov (ranked 2232 p4p, 3580 weight class) and Boromir Khan (ranked 319 p4p, 465 weight class). Boromir Khan will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Konstantin Dimakov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Boromir Khan!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dimakov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Khan.
Khan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dimakov.
Khan's coach down at Irish Collar & Elbow Academy (ICE) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Khan's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Khan tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Dimakov counters with a straight right hand.
Dimakov tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Khan counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Khan has managed to clinch.
Khan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dimakov to keep the fight standing.
Khan lands a hook to the side of the head.

Dimakov fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Dimakov blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Khan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dimakov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Khan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dimakov swivels and escapes.
Konstantin Dimakov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boromir Khan.

Khan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Khan moves out of range as Dimakov strikes.
Konstantin Dimakov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dimakov thuds his right hand into Khan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Dimakov connects with a jab.
Khan shoots in but no luck this time.

Khan closes the distance and clinches.

Khan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dimakov slips a jab and a cross from Khan.
Konstantin Dimakov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Khan fails to land with a series of punches.
Dimakov seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Dimakov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Khan moves away.

Khan darts in trying to clinch
and Dimakov counters with a nice uppercut.
Dimakov fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Khan on the side of the head.
Dimakov is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Dimakov missing with a left hand there. Khan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Dimakov tests Khan's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Dimakov forces Khan back against the cage and clinches.
Dimakov lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Khan takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Khan tries to throw a body punch but Dimakov avoids it by throwing Khan back against the cage.
Dimakov lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Khan backwards.
Dimakov goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Khan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Dimakov lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Khan sprawling to the canvas. Dimakov follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Khan hang on?

Khan is rocked!

It looks like Boromir Khan has been cut.
It looks like Dimakov is going to stand back up.
Khan is still in real trouble! Can Dimakov finish him?
Khan tries to get to full guard but Dimakov has control of the leg.
Khan seems to have recovered his senses.

Dimakov stands up and beckons Khan to join him on the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dimakov misses with a looping left.
Khan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dimakov misses with a lunging right hand
and Khan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dimakov misses the shot to the body.
Dimakov looks to score with a jab to the body but Khan is just out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Dimakov as Khan shoots in.
Khan tries to close the distance and clinch but Dimakov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dimakov cracks Khan with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Dimakov misses the shot to the body.

Khan drives through with a takedown into Dimakov's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Dimakov pushes Khan off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dimakov looks to throw the jab but Khan is out of range.
Dimakov throws a lazy uppercut
and Khan counters with a three punch combo that has Dimakov backing up. Dimakov nods at Khan to acknowledge the strikes.

Khan rushes Dimakov and presses him up against the cage.
Khan misses with some punches.

Dimakov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dimakov lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Dimakov swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Dimakov closes the distance and pushes Khan back into the cage.
Khan is trying to pull guard but Dimakov turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Khan struggles to land a body shot inside as Dimakov controls his hands.
Dimakov is leaning against Khan and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Khan looks winded!
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Dimakov.
Khan trying to land knees to the body.
Khan tries to circle away but Dimakov has him pinned against the cage.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Dimakov throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Dimakov cracks Khan with a nice body shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Khan tries to pull guard but Dimakov won't allow it.
Dimakov lands a body punch in the clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Boromir Khan's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The fight stays on the outside here - Khan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Khan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Dimakov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Khan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dimakov sets himself, and Khan steps forward looking for the clinch! Dimakov avoids it this time.

and Khan counters with a nice uppercut.
Khan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dimakov tries to avoid it but Khan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dimakov to the ground. Dimakov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Khan closes the distance but Dimakov moves to the side
and Dimakov counters with a straight right hand.
Khan has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Khan there as he acknowledges the shot.
Khan misses with a series of wild punches.
Konstantin Dimakov is winning the standup battle so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khan has his takedown stuffed
and Dimakov counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Dimakov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Khan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dimakov's waist but Dimakov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Khan off to one side.

Khan is breathing heavily.

Dimakov misses the shot to the body.
Dimakov paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Dimakov darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Khan has managed to clinch.
Dimakov lands a hook that snaps the head of Khan backwards.
Dimakov dips a shoulder and cracks Khan with a mighty uppercut! Khan falls back against the cage and Dimakov unloads with a barrage of strikes! Khan is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Dimakov screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Konstantin Dimakov!
