Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Biscuit Oliva (ranked 1387 p4p, 777 weight class) and Lucas Barbosa (ranked 205 p4p, 117 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Oliva might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Vo Williams - Primal (ft. Vyceroy). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barbosa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Oliva pinned against the cage. Oliva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Barbosa tries to sprawl but Oliva drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Barbosa closes the distance and clinches up with Oliva, looking for a takedown. Barbosa pushes Oliva against the cage but Oliva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Biscuit Oliva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lucas Barbosa.
Barbosa shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Barbosa closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Barbosa lands in his opponent's guard.
Oliva wants to get back to his feet but Barbosa passes into half guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Barbosa throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Oliva counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Barbosa thinking.
Oliva feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barbosas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Nice straight punches there by Oliva. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Oliva.
Biscuit Oliva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barbosa works over Oliva's head and body with a nice combination.
Barbosa scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oliva tries to bum rush Barbosa with a series of wild strikes but Barbosa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Oliva moves in looking to clinch but Barbosa pushes him off.

and Barbosa counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Oliva is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Barbosa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Barbosa's back!

Biscuit Oliva overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Oliva is not going to allow Barbosa to sit and survive in this position.
Barbosa is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Oliva gets his way!
Oliva is throwing strikes but Barbosa counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Barbosa regains half guard.

Oliva wants to pass to mount but Barbosa is defending the position.
Barbosa is looking to improve his position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barbosa regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Oliva.
Oliva content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Barbosa has locked up a guillotine! Barbosa's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Oliva is holding on here and Barbosa must be using up a lot of energy. Oliva has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Barbosa gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Lucas Barbosa very nearly forgot to thank UNDEFEATED amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
