Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tobias Berge (ranked 432 p4p, 398 weight class) and Xon HiChi (ranked 66 p4p, 61 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tobias Berge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Xon HiChi! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! HiChi throws a looping overhand right but Berge ducks down to avoid it. Berge throws a leg kick but HiChi checks it. HiChi appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Berge walks into a jab. HiChi lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. We've been hearing reports that Berge has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. HiChi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Berge. Jab from HiChi. Berge fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Berge shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. HiChi defends it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Berge takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Berge changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. HiChi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Berge goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, HiChi rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Berge's guard! Nice work there by HiChi! Berge looking for subs off his back but HiChi has passed one foot through into half guard.
Berge wants to improve his position but HiChi is controlling well.
HiChi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Berge. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Berge actively working from the bottom here. Berge wants to control but HiChi is keeping busy.
Berge wants to get back to full guard but HiChi has mounted him! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Berge is working to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Berge tries to hold on but HiChi postures up. HiChi prevents Berge from getting the reversal. Berge is working hard here to advance position. HiChi trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. HiChi avoids the attempt from Berge to control. Berge keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
HiChi looking to control but Berge is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. HiChi is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Berge working to try and regain half guard.
Berge manages to regain half guard. Good work. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xon HiChi dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! HiChi takes a swing at Berge's ribcage but misses. Xon HiChi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Berge with a poor takedown and HiChi counters with a stiff right hand. HiChi lands with a shot to the body. HiChi misses with an uppercut. HiChi throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Berge tries for a takedown but HiChi circles away easily and Berge takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. HiChi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Berge shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and HiChi counters with a nice body shot. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tobias Berge. That's going to take a lot out of him. HiChi looks to land a right hand but Berge moved out of range. Berge is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from HiChi.
That's one minute gone in the round. Donk. HiChi catches Berge right on the button with a cross. HiChi lands a slapping body shot.
Xon HiChi seems to be getting the better of the standup. HiChi lands with a right hand. Berge is looking to clinch but HiChi is avoiding it.
HiChi swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Berge slips a jab from HiChi. HiChi looks to score with a jab to the body but Berge is just out of range. Berge is on the wrong end of a nice combination from HiChi. Berge moves out of range of the strikes. HiChi swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Berge.
Berge is rocked! HiChi avoids the body shot from Berge.
Oh Berge is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berge looks up at the clock. Bad move! HiChi lands a right hand from hell, dropping Berge. HiChi pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Xon HiChi! An out of breath Xon HiChi thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. The defeated Tobias Berge had this to say: 'It's whatever man. I'm gonna go smoke some weed after I get home and forget this ever happened.'.
