Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joaquim Caetano (ranked 2869 p4p, 4870 weight class) and Julian McGavin (ranked 162 p4p, 221 weight class). McGavin has chosen Jersey Shore intro song as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joaquim Caetano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Julian McGavin! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caetano moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Caetano with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McGavin to score with a decent uppercut. Caetano tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Caetano leaves McGavin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. McGavin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. McGavin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McGavin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Caetano is not content to let McGavin control the position. Caetano manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGavin is working for a kimura but Caetano is defending it quite comfortably.
Caetano looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Caetano slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Caetano pushes a forearm under McGavin's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, McGavin is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Joaquim Caetano! Julian McGavin was interviewed post fight and said 'Not fair boy I was just getting started'.
