PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Dinklage (ranked 856 p4p, 1047 weight class) and Qing Wu (ranked 117 p4p, 142 weight class). Qing Wu told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Dinklage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Qing Wu!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wu lands the left hand.
Dinklage gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wu lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Dinklage clinches up with Wu and pushes him back against the cage.
Wu blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Dinklage lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Wu.
Dinklage blocking some punches.

Dinklage turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Dinklage manages to end up in side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dinklage in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Dinklage is working Wu over with some ground and pound from side control.

It looks like Qing Wu has been cut.
Dinklage tries to advance to mount but Wu denies him.
Wu takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

That has opened up Qing Wu's cut even more.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dinklage advances to full mount.
Dinklage lands a big shot there that rocks Wu but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Qing Wu's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Qing Wu's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Dan Dinklage!
