Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Remi Chavaski (ranked 1057 p4p, 86 weight class) and Aiko San (ranked 152 p4p, 15 weight class). Remi Chavaski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Remi Chavaski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Aiko San! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chavaski closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Chavaski lands in his opponent's guard. San keeping moving, preventing Chavaski from controlling successfully. San controlling Chavaski's posture. San keeping moving, preventing Chavaski from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chavaski trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Chavaski wants to control from the top but San keeps moving. San really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chavaski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chavaski is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because San is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. San lands a nice hook to Chavaski's body. Chavaski takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. San punishes Chavaski's body with a nice straight punch. San gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Chavaski to score an easy takedown into full guard. Chavaski wants to pass the guard but San is keeping the position. San controlling Chavaski's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chavaski trying to control but San is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chavaski slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. San keeping moving, preventing Chavaski from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chavaski drives through with a takedown into San's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Chavaski wants to control from the top but San keeps moving. Chavaski drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chavaski jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Chavaski is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. San keeping moving, preventing Chavaski from controlling successfully. Chavaski forces his way into half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if San can do anything to dispel that myth. San desperately trying to maintain half guard. Chavaski working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on San's thigh. San counters though and makes it back to full guard. San working a defensive guard but Chavaski manages to pass into side control anyway.
San felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chavaski tries for a kimura but San is defending well. And that is the end of the round. Chavaski is keen to just control but San is a slippery customer.

San is refusing to be controlled, as Chavaski sits in half guard. San is holding on to half guard well. Chavaski is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. San trying to control from the bottom.
San is trying to get back to full guard. Chavaski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that San can do to turn this around? Chavaski is trying to control the action in half guard but San is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. San tries to roll over but Chavaski keeps him under control. San won't allow Chavaski to pass to mount. Chavaski is trying to work for a kimura but San is defending well.

Remi Chavaski dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Chavaski has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Chavaski there as he acknowledges the shot. Remi Chavaski is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. San scores with a jab to the body. Chavaski dives in for a single leg takedown but San sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. San softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. San gets underhooks to prevent Chavaski's takedown attempt.

San has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Chavaski is working away from the top position though.

San connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. San misses with a hook. Chavaski ducked under it nicely. Chavaski doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Chavaski looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. San lands a nice shot to the body.

Chavaski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as San throws out the jab. Chavaski half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chavaski takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. San misses with a straight left. San lands with a good body shot. Chavaski dives in and grabs San's left leg, looking for a takedown. San pushes down on Chavaski's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Remi Chavaski. That's going to take a lot out of him. San scores with a hook to the body. Chavaski takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Aiko San seems to be getting the better of the standup. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. San looks to land a right hand but Chavaski moved out of range. San stuffs the takedown. San scores with a jab to the jaw. San feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Chavaski sprawling to the canvas! Chavaski rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can San finish him?!
Chavaski is rocked! San throws a pinpoint strike between Chavaski's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Chavaski crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and San scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Aiko San! During a confident post fight interview, Aiko San thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
