PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Voracic Frank (ranked 1929 p4p, 793 weight class) and Rashid Elkhan (ranked 239 p4p, 117 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Voracic Frank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Rashid Elkhan!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Elkhan connects with a body shot that sends Frank's belly button to the back.
A punch combination from Frank misses.
Frank lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Elkhan misses with a right hand
and Frank connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Frank throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Elkhan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Frank stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Frank doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

enabling Elkhan to counter with a crisp jab.

Frank shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
It seemed like Elkhan was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Elkhan has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Elkhan lands a nice shot to the body.

Elkhan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Elkhan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Frank tries to clinch there but Elkhan circles away.
Elkhan takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
The crowd cheers as Frank lands an impressive looking overhand right. Elkhan doesn't seem phased though.

and Frank counters with a series of strikes. Elkhan will be more careful next time no doubt.

A punch lands to the side of Elkhan 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Elkhan jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Elkhan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Elkhan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Frank.
A quick step to the side and Frank tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Frank thows a left - swing and a miss!
A little jabbing left from Elkhan on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Frank closes the distance looking to clinch
and Elkhan counters with a nice uppercut.

and Elkhan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Frank thinking.
Frank throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Elkhan slips under a jab from Frank.
Elkhan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Frank.

and Elkhan counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Frank is breathing heavily.

Elkhan cracks Frank's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Frank slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Elkhan can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Rashid Elkhan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
