Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Torhte Finlayson (ranked 3 p4p, 371 weight class) and Billy Crawley (ranked 2 p4p, 61 weight class). Finlayson comes to the cage accompanied by Scotland the Brave, Black Bear. The crowd seem to be enjoying Crawley's choice of entrance music: Jewelry - One More Time. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 35 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Torhte Finlayson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Billy Crawley! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to the body from Crawley misses and Finlayson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Crawley misses with a leg kick and Finlayson counters with a stiff right hand. Crawley tests Finlayson's chin there with a solid looking shot. Finlayson scores with the left hand. Crawley knows he should have avoided that one. Crawley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Finlayson.
A head kick misses from Crawley. An attempted straight right counter from Finlayson misses the target. Billy Crawley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crawley is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Finlayson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Finlayson throws a lazy uppercut
and Crawley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Finlayson misses with a straight right. Finlayson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Crawley connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Finlayson scrambles back to his feet. Crawley misses with a hook
and Finlayson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crawley throws a head kick but Finlayson moves out of range.
Crawley motions for Finlayson to come forward. Crawley throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Crawley tried to score with a low kick but Finlayson checks it. A slow jab from Finlayson misses its intended target. Crawley ducks under a wild hook from Finlayson. A jab from Crawley misses. Crawley slips a straight right by Finlayson. Finlayson with a nice cross. Finlayson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Crawley uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Finlayson. That's two minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Crawley is predictable there letting Finlayson counter with a right hand. Finlayson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Crawley. Crawley throws a leg kick which misses Finlayson's front leg but catches the back leg as Finlayson tries to avoid it. Finlayson throws a looping overhand right but Crawley ducks down to avoid it. Crawley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Crawley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Finlayson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Finlayson throwing a counter right hand but Crawley manages to avoid it. A clash of legs there as Finlayson blocks the low kick. Finlayson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Crawley.
Finlayson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Crawley on the side of the head. Finlayson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Crawley. Crawley throws a head kick that misses and Finlayson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Finlayson lands with a shot to the body. Crawley swings away with a body shot that misses
and Finlayson counters with a nice uppercut. Crawley throws a head kick but Finlayson moves out of range.
Finlayson throws a body shot but no joy. Crawley throws a leg kick but Finlayson sees it coming and moves out of range. Finlayson blocks a head kick by Crawley.
Finlayson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Finlayson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Crawley appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Crawley finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
We've been told by Finlayson's head coaches at FIST OF FURY that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Crawley throws a leg kick but Finlayson moved away. A jab from Finlayson misses. Crawley takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crawley tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Finlayson swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Crawley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Finlayson circles away quickly and effectively. Crawley has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Crawley there as he acknowledges the shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Finlayson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Crawley can pounce on him.
Nice jab there from Finlayson. Crawley scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Finlayson doesn't seem bothered though. Crawley throws a nice outside leg kick. Crawley throws a leg kick that is checked and Finlayson counters with a straight right hand. The fighters circle momentarily. Crawley darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Crawley misses with a left hand and Finlayson counters with a nice uppercut. Crawley thows a leg kick but Finlayson checks it and Finlayson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Crawley is rocked! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Torhte Finlayson dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Finlayson misses with a straight left. A low kick lands for Crawley.
Crawley lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Finlayson at a distance.
Finlayson throws a hook but Crawley blocks it. Finlayson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Crawley throws a counter combo. Crawley walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Billy Crawley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Finlayson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Crawley. Crawley throws the left hand but Finlayson avoids the punch easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crawley looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Finlayson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Crawley's head backwards. Crawley scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Crawley with a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crawley misses with a low kick. Crawley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Finlayson throws out the jab. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Crawley might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Finlayson has got the better of the exchanges. Finlayson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Torhte Finlayson is winning the standup battle so far. Finlayson cracks Crawley with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Crawley looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Finlayson finish him?
Crawley is still on wobbly legs! Can Finlayson finish him? Finlayson knocks out Crawley with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Finlayson before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Finlayson picks up the big W with a huge KO!
