Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Gracie (ranked 901 p4p, 1453 weight class) and Muchy Cartwright (ranked 135 p4p, 216 weight class). Cartwright has chosen Mauled as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Muchy Cartwright!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Cartwright wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.

Cartwright manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Cartwright is trying to trip Gracie. He has hold of a leg but Gracie is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cartwright persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Cartwright lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Gracie quite badly. Gracie pulls Cartwright in close trying to recover. Cartwright postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Gracie on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Gracie doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
