Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Barry Bass (ranked 24407 p4p, 3055 weight class) and Mateusz Biernat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Biernat has chosen Monsters as his entrance music. Barry Bass has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Biernat darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Bass looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Bass is trying to maintain the position but Biernat is very close to passing his half guard.
Biernat trying to control from Bass's half guard. Bass has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Bass really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bass had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Biernat defends it easily.

Biernat drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Biernat jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Biernat is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bass defends it well.

Biernat is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Bass to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Biernat thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Bass will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bass is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Biernat is aware though and is defending well.

Biernat trying to control the position from guard on top but Bass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Biernat lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Bass is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Biernat working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Biernat seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Bass is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
