Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marc Tong Panong (ranked 2877 p4p, 5632 weight class) and Axton Burgess (ranked 375 p4p, 563 weight class). Tong Panong comes to the cage accompanied by Tetris Song. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tong Panong swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Tong Panong walks into a stiff left hand from Burgess.
Burgess connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tong Panong momentarily.
Tong Panong looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Tong Panong fails with the takedown.

Tong Panong drives through with a takedown into Burgess's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Burgess is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

I've been told that Burgess has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Axton Burgess is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Burgess scores with the left hand. Tong Panong knows he should have avoided that one.

and Burgess counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Burgess throws an uppercut from hell that sends Tong Panong clean off his feet! He's out cold! Burgess stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

A relieved looking Axton Burgess thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
