Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Chol (ranked 5046 p4p, 4058 weight class) and William Steve (ranked 238 p4p, 221 weight class). William Steve will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miguel Chol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, William Steve!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steve leaves Chol with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Chol throws a head kick but Steve moves out of range.

Chol moves into the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Steve.
Chol misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Steve.
Chol wants to break free but Steve has control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steve lands with a light punch inside.

Steve gets control of Chol's arms and successfully pulls guard. Steve will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Chol wanted to stand there but Steve had control of the position.

Chol decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Steve, up you get!
Chol fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Chol looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Chol darts in looking for a takedown but Steve gets double underhooks and turns Chol into the cage.

Chol jumps guard and drags Steve to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Steve really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chol. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Steve postures up and lands a big shot to Chol's brow.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Steve working his ground and pound in the gym.
Steve postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Chol not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Chol tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Steve cracks Chol with a solid left hand.

Steve trying to control the position from guard on top but Chol is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Steve is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Steve throwing strikes but missing.
Steve trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chol is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Steve is aware though and is defending well.
Steve is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Chol looking for a guillotine here but Steve defends easily.
Chol might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Chol is breathing heavily.
Chol wants to get back to his feet but Steve is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Steve got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chol has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Steve has managed to get both his arms back between Chol's legs - danger averted.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Steve stands up over Chol, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Steve must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Chol has momentary wrist control but Steve slips an elbow through the middle.

Chol looking for a guillotine here but Steve defends easily.
Steve lands a couple of decent looking shots.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

William Steve dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Steve keeps the fight on the outside.
Chol wants to clinch.
Steve doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Chol shoots in and drives through. Steve sprawls well.
Chol throws a head kick that misses.
Steve let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Chol closes the distance but Steve moves to the side
and Steve counters with a right hand to the body.
Steve is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Chol.

Chol goes for a double leg but Steve avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Steve continues to drive forward.
Steve has had enough of the clinch but Chol keeps him there for the moment.
Steve gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Chol.

Steve drags the fight down to the ground.
Steve seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Chol throws a nice outside leg kick.
Chol tries to clinch up.
Chol throws a sloppy head kick and Steve moves out of range easily.
Steve is trying to counter with his kicks.
Chol shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Steve but Steve pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Chol looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Steve stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Steve wants it to stay on the feet.

William Steve showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Chol tries to score a power double leg takedown but Steve sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Chol somewhat.

Chol looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Steve is looking for the big counter here.

and Steve counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

William Steve is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

and Steve counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Chol tries to clinch there but Steve circles away.
Chol is looking to score with low kicks.

Steve now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Chol shoots in and drives through. Steve sprawls well.

Chol shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Steve pinned against the cage. Steve gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Steve has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Chol tries to close the distance and clinch up but Steve swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Steve counters with a right hand to the body.
Chol tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Steve defends well and Chol ends up having to push Steve into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Chol has Steve pressed against the cage, preventing Steve from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Chol stalling in the clinch but Steve improves position.
Chol tries to break free but Steve pushes him back against the cage.
Chol fails to pull guard.
Steve is trying to drag Chol to the mat but Chol just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Steve is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

And that's the end of the fight!
William Steve comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Steve winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
