Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kinnison Brickshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Steggman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brickshaw comes to the cage accompanied by I will be heard by Hatebreed. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kinnison Brickshaw! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christian Steggman! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brickshaw avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Steggman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brickshaw sprawls well initially but Steggman persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Steggman is pressing down on Brickshaw's thigh, looking to free his foot. Brickshaw is holding on for now. Steggman is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brickshaw gets full guard. Brickshaw is trying to control the position but Steggman postures up. Brickshaw throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Steggman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Brickshaw is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Steggman might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Brickshaw kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Steggman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brickshaw as he jumps to the side. Steggman slips a jab and a cross from Brickshaw.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Steggman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brickshaw but Brickshaw pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Brickshaw stuffs the takedown attempt from Steggman. Steggman gets slowly back to his feet. Kinnison Brickshaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christian Steggman. Brickshaw is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Brickshaw shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Steggman counters with a takedown into side control. Brickshaw tries to get back to half guard but can't. Brickshaw sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Brickshaw gets full guard. Brickshaw is looking for a triangle but Steggman pushes his legs off easily.

Steggman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brickshaw does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Steggman connects with a nice short shot to Brickshaw's temple. Steggman trying to control the action but Brickshaw is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Brickshaw misses with a takedown attempt and Steggman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Brickshaw won't be happy with that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steggman wants to control but Brickshaw is keeping him busy. Steggman scoring with punches and elbows. Steggman goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Brickshaw has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Steggman but great work by Brickshaw. Steggman is looking for a sweep. Steggman is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Brickshaw off and has taken his back! Steggman looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Brickshaw taps!
