Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, AJ Adams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thufir Hawat!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams shoots in for a double leg but Hawat sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hawat replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Adams blocks it well.
Adams looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hawat misses with a series of wild punches.
Adams throws a nice outside leg kick.
Adams bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Hawat circles away from the clinch attempt.
Adams tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hawat defends well and Adams ends up having to push Hawat into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Adams is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hawat to keep the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for AJ Adams. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adams with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hawat scores with a crisp jab that stopped Adams in his tracks.
Adams dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hawat. That did some damage!

Hawat lands a nice looking kick to the body. Adams takes a step back to recover.

Adams shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hawat counters with a left to the body.
Hawat connects with a leg kick.
Good leg kick by Hawat.
Whack! Hawat lands a heavy head kick that drops Adams. The ref tackles Hawat to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Adams was done.
