Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Filip Danielsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helen Salvacion!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Danielsen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Danielsen lands in his opponent's guard.
Danielsen wants to control from the top but Salvacion keeps moving.
Salvacion is adopting a defensive guard.

Danielsen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Danielsen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Danielsen passes into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Danielsen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Salvacion doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Danielsen.
Danielsen wants to control but Salvacion is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Danielsen is working for a kimura but Salvacion is defending it quite comfortably.

Danielsen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Salvacion is just riding it out for now. Danielsen eventually gives up the hold.

Salvacion is trying to control but can't.
Well, if Danielsen is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Salvacion is staying active underneath Danielsen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Danielsen is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Salvacion still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Salvacion has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Danielsen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Salvacion doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Danielsen is tightening it up a little... Salvacion has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Salvacion reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Salvacion taps out! Nice BJJ there by Danielsen!
