Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joesph Dredd (ranked 4380 p4p, 4200 weight class) and Phil Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dredd showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Johnson.
Dredd throws a one two combo.
Dredd lands with a straight right. Johnson didn't see that one coming.
Johnson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Johnson gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Johnson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dredd is trying to defend but Johnson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Johnson is trying to drag Dredd to the mat but Dredd just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Johnson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dredd pulls his leg out and moves away.
Joesph Dredd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Johnson.

It looked like Dredd wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Johnson gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Johnson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Johnson walks into a jab.
Dredd throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Johnson on the side of the head.
Dredd stuns Johnson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Dredd's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dredd lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Johnson misses with a takedown
letting Dredd counter with a right hand.

and Dredd counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Dredd throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Dredd lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Johnson at a distance.

Dredd throws a series of strikes that have Johnson backpedaling.
Johnson clinches up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dredd trying to control the position but instead, Johnson has worked for underhooks and has pushed Dredd into the cage.

Dredd is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Johnson can do to turn this around?

Dredd doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Johnson stalls.
A head punch on the inside from Dredd fails to land.
Johnson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dredd works Johnson's body with a nice hook.
Dredd gets caught flat footed, as Johnson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Johnson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dredd works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Johnson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Dredd scores with a sloppy right hand. Johnson should have avoided that one.
Phil Johnson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Johnson gets the takedown into side control.
Dredd is working to avoid the ground and pound but Johnson connects with a decent elbow.
Johnson content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Dredd is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Dredd looks calm but he's in trouble here. Johnson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Dredd is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Johnson lets go of the hold and Dredd can pop his arm back in it's socket.
