Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dick Kidd!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Anjos closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kidd circles away.
Dos Anjos shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Kidd managing to control the position.
Dos Anjos wants to control from the top but Kidd keeps moving.
Kidd wants to get back to his feet but Dos Anjos is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kidd not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Kidd is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Dos Anjos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kidd is keeping the position for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dos Anjos blocks a head kick by Kidd.
Dos Anjos fails to land the takedown.
Dos Anjos shoots in and drives through. Kidd sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paulo Dos Anjos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dos Anjos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kidd tries to avoid it but Dos Anjos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kidd to the ground. Kidd escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dos Anjos avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dos Anjos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kidd's waist but Kidd gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dos Anjos off to one side.
Kidd tries to land a front kick but Dos Anjos steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Paulo Dos Anjos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dos Anjos shoots in for a takedown but Kidd shows good takedown defense.
Kidd tries to clinch there but Dos Anjos circles away.
Dos Anjos misses with a double jab.
Horrible takedown by Dos Anjos or perhaps it was just good defense by Kidd which made him look bad.
Dos Anjos is breathing heavily.

Kidd lands a really nice looking cross but Dos Anjos seems unphased.
Kidd moves in looking to clinch but Dos Anjos pushes him off.
Dos Anjos shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kidd but Kidd pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kidd gets a clinch.
Dos Anjos wants to get back to striking at distance but Kidd won't allow it.
Kidd breaks the clinch.
A combination from Kidd does no damage.
Horrible takedown by Dos Anjos or perhaps it was just good defense by Kidd which made him look bad.
Kidd connects with a looping right hand.
Kidd throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dos Anjos on the side of the head.
Dos Anjos slips a jab and a cross from Kidd.

Kidd clinches.
Kidd pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kidd connects with a high kick.
It looks like Paulo Dos Anjos has been cut.
Kidd throws a one two combo.
Dos Anjos is rocked!
Kidd throws an uppercut from hell that sends Dos Anjos clean off his feet! He's out cold! Kidd stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
