The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cummings on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

It looks like David Cummings has been cut.
Alvarez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Alvarez throws an overhand right that lands on Cummings's shoulder, as Cummings tries to avoid the shot.
Cummings throws a counter combo.
Cummings dodges the punch combination from Alvarez.
Cummings lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Alvarez misses with the combination.
Alvarez fails to land with a series of punches.
Alvarez lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Alvarez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cummings unleashes a big counter combination but Alvarez bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

As Alvarez backs off Cummings throws a huge counter combo but Alvarez manages to avoid it all.
Cummings tries to close the distance and clinch but Alvarez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

so Cummings counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Cummings is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Cummings drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cummings jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cummings is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Cummings is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Alvarez rolls with it to try and escape but Cummings cranks on the arm and Alvarez is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
