Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yawa Kiang (ranked 24629 p4p, 24507 weight class) and Way Nada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yawa Kiang could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Way Nada's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Nada fails with a takedown attempt. And Kiang counters with a quick kick to the body but Nada blocks it. Nada darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nada prevents Kiang from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nada is working away from the top position though. Nada seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kiang is trying to control but can't.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kiang looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Nada! The referee asks Kiang politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kiang prefers to stall for the moment though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nada tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kiang wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nada manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Nada is trying to control but Kiang passes into side control!
The referee asks Kiang politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kiang prefers to stall for the moment though. Nada is trying to control Kiang's posture but Kiang avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Nada is looking for a sweep. Nada is trying to control Kiang's posture but Kiang avoids it. Nada manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kiang's best efforts. Nada is looking to control Kiang's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nada avoid being mounted?
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nada tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kiang defends well and Nada ends up having to push Kiang into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Kiang fires out a quick counter leg kick but Nada just manages to avoid it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Way Nada dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Nada with a lazy takedown attempt and Kiang counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Nada! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Yawa Kiang overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Nada is positioning himself to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiang is looking to take a break and control but Nada is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nada is looking to control Kiang's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nada avoid being mounted? Kiang not doing much here.

Nada gets caught napping as Kiang dives in and scores a takedown. Nada manages to retain guard. Nada is adopting a defensive guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nada is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nada wants to hit a sweep here but Kiang passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Nada there! Kiang looking to control but Nada is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kiang lands a couple of good shots and Nada has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nada trying to control the position but Kiang manages to sink in the hooks. Nada might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kiang haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Kiang is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nada wants to control his opponent's hands but Kiang gets his hands free.
And that's the end of the fight! Yawa Kiang showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kiang has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
