Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jacks Sole (ranked 555 p4p, 725 weight class) and Alexander Borgia (ranked 76 p4p, 108 weight class). Alexander Borgia told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Ben Watson and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sole throws a good cross that connects.
It looks like Alexander Borgia has been cut.
An inside leg kick from Borgia misses.
Borgia shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sole's guard.
Sole throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Sole throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Borgia stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sole swivels though and keeps the full guard.

My spies in Gym inform me that Borgia has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sole wants to sweep here but Borgia controlling him for the moment.

Borgia is pushing down on Sole's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sole is fighting to maintain full guard but Borgia has managed to sneak the leg through.

Sole escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Borgia gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Borgia winds up and cracks Sole with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Sole lands an upkick as Borgia stands over him.

Borgia working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Sole's head.
Sole will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Borgia makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Borgia arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Sole's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
