Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Slaughter (ranked 4212 p4p, 5878 weight class) and Loooj Kein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sterling Slaughter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Loooj Kein !
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kein avoids a kick to the body.

Slaughter takes the fight into the clinch.
Kein tries to pull guard but Slaughter won't allow it.
Kein goes for a takedown attempt but Slaughter pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Slaughter is defended easily by Kein .
Kein unleashes a big counter combination but Slaughter bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Slaughter misses with a leg kick
and Kein counters with a leg kick.
Kein avoids the head kick by Slaughter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slaughter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kein circles away.

Sterling Slaughter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Loooj Kein .

Slaughter is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Kein wants to pass the guard but Slaughter is keeping the position.
Slaughter seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Slaughter is on top in guard.


Kein looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Slaughter tries to free his leg and advance position but Kein is retaining full guard.

Kein throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Slaughter passes Kein 's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Kein keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Slaughter is nestled in close to Kein , controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Slaughter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kein is trying to control but can't.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Slaughter in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kein manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Slaughter gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Kein gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Slaughter counters with a nice uppercut.

Slaughter is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kein is defending well.
Slaughter drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kein pulls his leg out and moves away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kein enables Slaughter to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kein manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Slaughter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Sterling Slaughter dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Nice sprawl there from Kein as Slaughter shoots in.
Kein let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Kein throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A low kick from Slaughter is predictable there
and Kein counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Kein dives in for a single leg takedown but Slaughter sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kein stuffs the takedown attempt from Slaughter. Slaughter gets slowly back to his feet.
Despite the aggression on Kein 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Kein throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Slaughter counters with a series of strikes. Kein will be more careful next time no doubt.
Kein shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Slaughter as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kein displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Slaughter.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sterling Slaughter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kein shoots in looking for a takedown. Slaughter tries to sprawl out of it but Kein keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Slaughter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Slaughter finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Slaughter closes the distance and pushes Kein back into the cage.
Slaughter lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Slaughter content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Slaughter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kein stops a takedown attempt from Slaughter.
Kein managing to block the knees to the body from Slaughter.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Slaughter tries to pull guard but Kein holds him up against the cage and eventually Slaughter drops back down to his feet.

Kein trying to control but Slaughter is working from the bottom.
Kein trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Slaughter has his foot on Kein 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kein works his way back into a safe position though.

Slaughter has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Kein wants to counter the offense by Slaughter and move into the clinch position.
Slaughter throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Kein closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Slaughter to the mat! Slaughter manages to get full guard.
Slaughter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kein can do to turn this around?
Kein is fighting to break Slaughter's control of his arms but Slaughter is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Kein wants to control from the top but Slaughter keeps moving.
Kein throws a strike but Slaughter rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kein is trying to control Slaughter's posture but Slaughter avoids it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sterling Slaughter will probably get the nod.
That's time! Slaughter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Kein slaps away a takedown attempt from Slaughter, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kein doesn't manage to clinch there - Slaughter circles away.
Kein ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Slaughter moves away.

Slaughter closes the distance and clinches.
Slaughter has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kein after a bit of a struggle.
Kein trying to control the position but instead, Slaughter has worked for underhooks and has pushed Kein into the cage.
Kein wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Sterling Slaughter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kein got a little sloppy there for a moment and Slaughter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kein has managed to get both his arms back between Slaughter's legs - danger averted.

Slaughter is looking for a triangle but Kein pushes his legs off easily.

Slaughter is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kein defends well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kein slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kein tries to stand but Slaughter is controlling from the bottom.

Slaughter wriggles free and stands up.

Kein is looking to clinch but Slaughter is avoiding it.
Kein dives in and grabs Slaughter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Slaughter pushes down on Kein 's head and hops out.

Slaughter jumps guard and drags Kein to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kein accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kein postures up in Slaughter's guard and throws a big left but Slaughter blocks it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Slaughter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kein doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kein manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Slaughter chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kein can pounce on him.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Loooj Kein has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sterling Slaughter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Slaughter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
