Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between AJ Barton (ranked 22695 p4p, 23390 weight class) and Ron Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Austin has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Ron Austin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ron Austin!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barton chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Austin looks winded!
Barton throws a nice looking combination but Austin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Good standup being displayed there by Barton as he connects with a hook.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Barton tries to clinch but Austin is having none of it.
Barton misses with a two punch combination.
Barton throws a one two combo.
It looks like Ron Austin has been cut.
Barton throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Austin on the side of the head.

Austin is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barton lands a jab to Austin's midsection.
Austin is still on wobbly legs! Can Barton finish him?
A head kick lands from Barton that sends Austin to the canvas. Austin tries to scramble back to his feet but Barton brings him back down into side control.
Barton in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Barton throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Barton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Barton passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Austin!
Barton throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Austin because Barton loaded up on that one.
Austin blocking the ground and pound.
Barton trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barton is really struggling to control Austin but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Austin seems to have recovered his senses.

Austin takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barton has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Austin's face.
Barton postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Austin in real trouble here! The ref calls for Austin to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). AJ Barton!
