Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Jax Thomas (ranked 18428 p4p, 23555 weight class) and William Tate (ranked 556 p4p, 568 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Thomas.
Despite the aggression on Tate's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Tate tries to clinch up but Thomas circles away and keeps his distance.
Thomas was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Thomas throws an overhand right that lands on Tate's shoulder, as Tate tries to avoid the shot.
Thomas scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like William Tate has been cut.
Jax Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tate fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Thomas cracks Tate with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Tate get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Tate looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thomas drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Tate onto his butt! Tate pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.
Tate is rocked!
BAM! Thomas delivers a spinning backfist that drops Tate like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

After winning the bout, Jax Thomas thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
