Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Braxton Inganno (ranked 3772 p4p, 4851 weight class) and Avatna Haviid (ranked 411 p4p, 467 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Braxton Inganno ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Avatna Haviid! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haviid fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Inganno manages to avoid it. Haviid's coach down at Temple of Fitness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Haviid's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Inganno takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Inganno looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A swing and a miss from Inganno . Horrible takedown attempt by Inganno or perhaps it was just good defense by Haviid, which made it look bad. Inganno throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Haviid tries a low kick but Inganno avoids it. Haviid displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Inganno throws out the jab. Inganno lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. A looping hook to the body misses from Inganno . Haviid does a little dance to reset his feet. Haviid appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haviid scores with a shot to the body.

Haviid fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Haviid tries to land a front kick but Inganno steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Haviid scores with a jab to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haviid misses with a straight right. Inganno loads up on a big right hand but Haviid slips the punch. Haviid misses with a body shot.
Haviid throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Inganno stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Haviid takes one to the side of the head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Inganno . Haviid does a little dance to reset his feet. Haviid scores with a shot to the body.
Haviid fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Inganno has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Haviid will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Inganno throws a hook but Haviid blocks it. Inganno on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Inganno swings widly with a right hand
and Haviid counters with a good low kick that Inganno was not able to check. Haviid ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Inganno throws a body punch but Haviid moves out of range. Inganno throws a right and a left that Haviid avoids nicely. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Haviid throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Inganno appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Haviid cracks a nice hook into Inganno 's ribs. A big left from Inganno misses. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Haviid, as that shot connected.
Inganno takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Haviid throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Inganno is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Haviid. Haviid looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Haviid moves out of range of the strikes. A clash of legs there as Inganno blocks the low kick. Excellent takedown into side control there by Inganno . Haviid tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Inganno wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Inganno will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Inganno wants to lay and pray for a moment but Haviid keeps working. Haviid tries to buck Inganno off but Inganno is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Inganno has hold of Haviid's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Haviid seems comfortable defending it but Inganno has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Haviid is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Haviid is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Inganno couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Braxton Inganno ! Braxton Inganno was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
