The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cowan misses the shot to the body.
Nickle takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A big left from Cowan misses.
Cowan tries a low kick but Nickle avoids it.
Nickle lands a really nice looking cross but Cowan seems unphased.
Cowan throws a head kick but Nickle moves out of range.
Cowan moves away from the strike by Nickle.

Nickle rushes Cowan and presses him up against the cage.

Nickle is trying to pull guard but Cowan turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Cowan fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Cowan gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Cowan looks to throw the jab but Nickle is out of range.
Cowan takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Cowan throws a nice outside leg kick.
Cowan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nickle. That did some damage!

and Cowan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Nickle lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Cowan or not.
Cowan lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Nickle tries to score a body lock takedown but Cowan shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Nickle has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Cowan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
