Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricky Rawse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Grizzley Adams!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rawse tries to close the distance and clinch up but Adams swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Adams shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Adams working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Adams thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rawse's head.

Adams cracks Rawse with a big right hand but Rawse just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Rawse is not content to let Adams control the position.

Adams tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rawse sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Adams somewhat.
Rawse throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Rawse rushes Adams and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Adams is trying to drag Rawse to the mat but Rawse just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Ricky Rawse has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grizzley Adams.

I was talking to Rawse's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Rawse unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Adams! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Rawse is unloading with more strikes now! Adams drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Our winner, Ricky Rawse, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
