This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 12 wins and 6 losses; Nuri Jafar! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 14 losses; Jaro Lalla! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Lalla is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jafar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nuri Jafar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jafar pushes Lalla up against the cage in a clinch. Jafar tightens his grip and picks Lalla up, before dumping him to the ground. Lalla manages to land in guard. Jafar controlling the pace for now. Lalla sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Lalla tries to get to full guard but Jafar has control of the leg. Lalla looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Jafar is trying to control the action in half guard but Lalla is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Lalla is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jafar's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jafar's back! Lalla is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jafar defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Jafar trying to control the hands but Lalla breaks the grip. Lalla is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Jafar is defending well though. Lalla let's go of the attempt for now. Lalla working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jafar looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Lalla patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Jafar fending off the submission attempt from Lalla. Lalla is persistently looking for the submission but Jafar is defending it well.
Jafar manages to reverse the position and now he's in Lalla's guard. Nice work there by Jafar.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lalla had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jafar defends it easily. Jafar is stalling in the full guard. Lalla keeping moving, preventing Jafar from controlling successfully. Lalla escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jafar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jafar slips nicely into half guard. Jafar slows the pace down in half guard. Lalla looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Jafar pushes past his half guard into mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Jafar (10) vs (4) Lalla Jafar tries to control but Lalla wriggling away. Lalla regains half guard.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Jafar takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Jafar's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Well, if Jafar is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Lalla is not content to let Jafar control the position. Lalla gets full guard. Jafar is sitting in close to Lalla's body. Lalla has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Jafar is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Jafar is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Lalla.

A relieved looking Jaro Lalla thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
