This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 21 wins and 16 losses; Bogdan Kersikov! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 29 wins and 30 losses; Golar Omoran!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Kersikov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Omoran sprawls well. Omoran wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kersikov gets slowly back to his feet.

Omoran feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Omoran stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kersikov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Omoran wants to control from the top but Kersikov keeps moving.
Kersikov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kersikov pulls Omoran in close to his closed guard and prevents Omoran from doing any damage or advancing position.
Omoran tries to free his leg and advance position but Kersikov is retaining full guard.

Kersikov is pulling down on Omoran's head. It's preventing any offense from Omoran, at least for the moment.

Omoran looking to sit in guard and control but Kersikov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kersikov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Omoran looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kersikov has picked Omoran up and slammed him! Omoran can't keep hold of the triangle and Kersikov manages to pass to side control!

Omoran tries to lock up and control but Kersikov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kersikov is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Omoran will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Kersikov trying to control the action but Omoran is working from the bottom.

Omoran tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kersikov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Omoran is trying to escape the mount.
Kersikov wants to control the pace but Omoran is squirming around nicely.
Omoran reaches up to try and control the position but Kersikov seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Omoran rolls and tries to escape and now Kersikov has his back!

Kersikov doesn't have the hooks in and Omoran manages to turn into his guard.

Omoran stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kersikov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Omoran trying to control the position from guard on top but Kersikov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Omoran controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Kersikov has Omoran pulled in close to control his posture.

Omoran is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kersikov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kersikov has escaped and now he's on top!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Omoran isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kersikov stacks Omoran on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kersikov!
