Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Askrew (ranked 3646 p4p, 3526 weight class) and Nigel Benn Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ben Askrew has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ben Askrew seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Benn Jr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Askrew drops down looking for a counter takedown but Benn Jr sprawls and moves away.
Nigel Benn Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Benn Jr throws a series of punches but Askrew moves out of range.

Benn Jr stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Benn Jr lands with a hook. Askrew tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Askrew looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Benn Jr throws a hook to the side of Askrew's head but Askrew sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Askrew on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Benn Jr might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Benn Jr throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A lazy left from Benn Jr finds it's target.
Askrew takes one to the side of the head.
A decent looking cross lands there for Benn Jr.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Benn Jr, as that shot connected.
Benn Jr misses with a wild body shot.
Benn Jr throws a nice looking combination but Askrew bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Benn Jr scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Askrew doesn't seem bothered though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Benn Jr cracks Askrew with an open hand slap.
Askrew showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Benn Jr.
Askrew feinted with a counter takedown.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Benn Jr dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Benn Jr lands with a nice combination. Askrew backs away looking to recover.
Benn Jr moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Nigel Benn Jr dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Benn Jr lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Benn Jr has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Benn Jr lands with a right hand.
Benn Jr is looking to slow Askrew down with leg kicks.
Benn Jr slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Askrew looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Benn Jr lands a left and a right that send Askrew crashing to the mat, dazed. Benn Jr thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Askrew is rocked!
Nigel Benn Jr seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Benn Jr lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Askrew up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Benn Jr from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Askrew's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

A very excited looking Nigel Benn Jr made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
