Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jehu Christ (ranked 1554 p4p, 2798 weight class) and Jayden Sven (ranked 212 p4p, 355 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christ throws a lazy uppercut
and Sven counters with a nice uppercut.
Sven throws a hook but Christ avoids it easily.
Sven swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Sven closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Christ scores with a shot to the side of Sven's head.
Christ misses with a hook from the clinch.
Christ swings wildly with an uppercut but Sven uses good head movement to avoid it.
A head punch on the inside from Sven fails to land.

Christ breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Christ avoids the body shot from Sven.
Jayden Sven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sven slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Good shot there by Christ.
Sven misses with a straight right.
Sven throws a lazy uppercut
and Christ counters with a nice uppercut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Christ slips under a jab from Sven.

Sven scores with a sloppy right hand. Christ should have avoided that one.
Christ uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sven.
Christ swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Christ swings and misses with a shot to the body
letting Sven counter with a right hand.
Sven uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Christ.
Sven tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Christ connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Christ slips under a jab.
Sven lands the left hand.
Sven lands a jab to the nose.

Sven moves into range and clinches up with Christ.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sven misses with some punches.
Sven lands with a left to the head.
Sven misses with a punch on the inside.
Christ blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sven tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Christ misses with the head strike.

Christ's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Christ moves away from the strike by Sven.
Christ blocks a jab.
Christ throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Sven's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Christ dives in looking to finish as Sven flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Christ's strikes! Christ is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Sven's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Sven was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
