Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pyay Thuta (ranked 1725 p4p, 2186 weight class) and Bo Hogan (ranked 260 p4p, 318 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pyay Thuta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bo Hogan!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thuta lands a big head kick that sends Hogan tumbling to the mat! Thuta takes a step backwards and waves Hogan back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Bo Hogan has been cut.
Hogan showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Thuta.
Thuta misses with the body kick

and Hogan counters by clinching up.
Thuta lands a body punch in the clinch.
Thuta tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Thuta's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hogan has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Thuta clinches up against the cage.
Thuta definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Thuta lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Thuta's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hogan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Thuta looks to land a left hand but Hogan moved out of range nicely.
Thuta throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hogan.
Hogan changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thuta turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Thuta misses with a shot to the body

and Hogan counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Thuta is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Hogan presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Thuta misses with some punches.

Thuta escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Hogan gets a clinch.
Thuta tries a body shot but Hogan blocks it.
Thuta lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Thuta manages to break the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hogan tries to clinch but Thuta moves out of range.
Thuta pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hogan changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Thuta throws a looping overhand right but Hogan ducks down to avoid it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thuta swings for the body but Hogan moves out of range.
Hogan drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Thuta defends it well.
Thuta avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thuta throws a jab but it's blocked by Hogan.
A lazy left from Thuta finds it's target.
A slapping body kick lands there for Thuta.
Thuta misses with a combination

and Hogan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Hogan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Thuta has managed to free his arm - good work.
Hogan wants to free his trapped foot but Thuta is holding on for dear life with his legs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hogan trying to control the action but Thuta is working from the bottom.
Hogan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Thuta's head.
Thuta wants to control but Hogan is keeping busy.

Hogan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hogan wants to pass to mount but Thuta is defending the position.
Thuta is trying to stand back up but Hogan is controlling him

Hogan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Thuta defends it well.

Thuta pushes Hogan off and gets back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Thuta fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Hogan staying out of range there.
And Hogan tries to counter it with a takedown but Thuta pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Hogan doesn't manage to clinch there - Thuta circles away.
Thuta with a nice calf kick.
Hogan tries to clinch up
and Thuta counters with a straight right hand.

That has opened up Bo Hogan's cut even more.
Thuta ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hogan moves away.
Thuta misses the shot to the body.
Hogan tries to counter with a clinch but Thuta shakes him off and moves away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Pyay Thuta dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Bo Hogan's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Thuta throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Thuta ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hogan moves away.
Hogan is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hogan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Thuta drops Hogan with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hogan looks back up at him and smiles so Thuta waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Hogan is rocked!
Thuta grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Hogan takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Thuta cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Pyay Thuta!
A less than humble Pyay Thuta misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
