PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Spicoli (ranked 1486 p4p, 24355 weight class) and Somsak Saetang (ranked 220 p4p, 617 weight class). Spicoli comes into the arena with Money Buy Drugs blaring out of the sound system. Somsak Saetang will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff Spicoli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Somsak Saetang!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spicoli throws a body shot but no joy.
Spicoli throws a head kick that misses.
Saetang follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Spicoli misses with a straight left.
Spicoli connects with a solid leg kick.
Spicoli definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Spicoli misses with an uppercut. Saetang saw that one coming.
Spicoli avoids a kick to the body.

and Saetang counters with a solid body kick.
Saetang looking to land some kicks to the body here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Spicoli darts in and clinches Saetang up against the cage.
Saetang's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Saetang creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Spicoli breaks from the clinch.
Saetang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Spicoli swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Spicoli swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Saetang pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Spicoli throws a hook to the side of Saetang's head but Saetang sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Spicoli misses with a looping right.
Spicoli stuns Saetang with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Spicoli ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Saetang moves away.
Spicoli fails to land with a series of punches.
Saetang throws a head kick but Spicoli moves out of range.
Saetang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Spicoli swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Spicoli lands with a right hand.
Saetang looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Saetang looks to land a body kick but Spicoli moved away.
Spicoli swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Spicoli is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Saetang's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Spicoli cracks Saetang with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Saetang looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Spicoli finish him?

Saetang is rocked!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Saetang blocks a head kick by Spicoli.
Saetang is still on wobbly legs! Can Spicoli finish him?
Spicoli tries a head kick but it misses.
Saetang tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Spicoli engages and cracks Saetang with a massive lead left hook - Saetang tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Spicoli is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
