Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cole Hart (ranked 3085 p4p, 4310 weight class) and Jeremy Marks (ranked 411 p4p, 500 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Cole Hart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Marks! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! That kick from Marks tenderised Hart's leg. Hart is trying to keep his angry face on. Marks's coach down at Temple of Fitness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Marks's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Hart misses with a hook. Marks ducked under it nicely. Marks throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. We've been told by Hart's head coaches at BKC Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Hart lands with a shot to the body. Hart misses with a two punch combination.

Jeremy Marks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hart misses with a left hand and Marks counters with a slapping leg kick. Marks moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Hart will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Hart on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Marks. Marks obviously looking to wear him down.

A quick step to the side and Hart tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Marks throws a head kick that Hart semi-blocks.
Marks lands with a kick to the temple. Hart shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Hart throws a hook to the side of Marks's head but Marks sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Marks delivers a nice body kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Marks misses with an uppercut. Marks throws a body shot but no joy. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jeremy Marks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Marks throws a quick inside leg kick. A slapping body kick lands there for Marks. Marks throws a body punch but Hart moves out of range. Hart swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Marks fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. A decent looking body kick lands there for Marks. Marks lands with a thumping leg kick.

Marks throws a leg kick which misses Hart's front leg but catches the back leg as Hart tries to avoid it. Hart has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Marks. Nice body kick from Marks. Marks fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hart. Marks throws a nice outside leg kick. Hart has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Marks. A head kick from Marks lands but Hart takes it in his stride. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hart crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Marks - the referee stops the clock and Hart gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Marks. Hart manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Hart might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
