Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Ryan (ranked 1530 p4p, 2385 weight class) and Nico DiAngelo (ranked 207 p4p, 305 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Eddie Ryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nico DiAngelo!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan misses with a looping left.
Ryan scores with a hook to the body. DiAngelo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
We've been hearing reports that Ryan has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Ryan throws a shot from downtown. DiAngelo moves away and avoids it.

Ryan looking to score a takedown here. DiAngelo is defending well but Ryan drives through and ends up in DiAngelo's guard.
DiAngelo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ryan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

DiAngelo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ryan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ryan has escaped and now he's on top!

DiAngelo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ryan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ryan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ryan thows a huge punch but DiAngelo dodges it nicely.

Ryan is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down DiAngelo's shoulder. That is not cool.
DiAngelo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ryan off and has taken his back!
Ryan tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Ryan is desperately trying to improve his position but DiAngelo has a good base and remains in mount.
Ryan gets back to half guard.
DiAngelo sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ryan defending well though.
Ryan is controlling DiAngelo's trapped leg to prevent DiAngelo from advancing to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ryan gets back to full guard.

DiAngelo looking to sit in guard and control but Ryan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

DiAngelo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ryan is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for DiAngelo.
Ryan works to advance to full mount. DiAngelo defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ryan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as DiAngelo is looking to escape.
DiAngelo wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Ryan.
Ryan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ryan takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ryan is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Ryan is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but DiAngelo won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Ryan off his unconscious opponent!
