Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael Barnes (ranked 2632 p4p, 2845 weight class) and Kloockz Diesel (ranked 256 p4p, 276 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Diesel as he connects with a hook.
Barnes lands a jab to Diesel's midsection.

Diesel throws a hook to the side of Barnes's head but Barnes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Barnes cracks Diesel with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Diesel's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

and Barnes counters with a shoot takedown. Diesel fights it but they end up in guard.

Barnes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Diesel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Diesel might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Diesel, as that shot connected.
Barnes throws a low kick but Diesel moves out of range easily.

and Barnes counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Diesel!

Barnes tries to score with some ground and pound. Diesel controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barnes looks up at the clock and then as Diesel takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Barnes smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Diesel seems a little lost for a moment, as Barnes dominates the positioning.
Barnes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Diesel keeps working.

That was a close second round but I would say that Michael Barnes will probably get the nod.

A punch lands to the side of Barnes 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Diesel looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Barnes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Barnes swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Diesel lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

As Barnes backs off Diesel throws a huge counter combo but Barnes manages to avoid it all.

Barnes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Diesel's guard.

Kloockz Diesel seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Diesel clobbers Barnes with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Oh Barnes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Diesel jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Barnes misses with a looping left.
Barnes walks straight into a right hand from Diesel - that's dropped him! Diesel jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Barnes from any more punishment! Barnes complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Kloockz Diesel decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
