PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mist Full (ranked 4141 p4p, 24428 weight class) and Minatay Mibangon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Full jabs at Mibangon's body.
Full shoots in but Mibangon avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Full fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Mibangon counters with a body kick.

and Mibangon counters with a body kick.
Mibangon swats away the attempt to clinch by Full.
Full shoots and misses
and Mibangon finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Mibangon shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Full is looking to get back to is feet but Mibangon passes into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mibangon decides to stand up, so the ref orders Full to his feet.

Mibangon drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Full wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Full is breathing heavily.
Mibangon is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Full's shoulder. That is not cool.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Full tries to bench press Mibangon off him but Mibangon keeps the position.
Mibangon moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Full is trying to improve his position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Full takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Minatay Mibangon dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Full dives in for a single leg takedown but Mibangon sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Full fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Full prevents a takedown attempt there.
Mibangon has Full pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Full manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Full wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Full has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Full tries to land knees in the clinch but Mibangon avoids the damage to the body.
Full displaying some good clinch control by pressing Mibangon up against the cage.
Full wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Mibangon is pressed up against the cage. Full has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mibangon down to the mat. Mibangon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Full looks to clinch
and Mibangon counters with a two punch combo.

Mibangon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mibangon is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Mibangon stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Mibangon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Full's guard.
Full wants to get back to his feet but Mibangon passes into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
