Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Arkinson (ranked 3897 p4p, 4544 weight class) and Martins Verdins (ranked 142 p4p, 165 weight class). Arkinson comes to the cage accompanied by Breaking Benjamin - So cold. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Martins Verdins!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arkinson throws a right and a left that Verdins avoids nicely.
Arkinson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Verdins under the eye.
Arkinson throws a series of punches but Verdins avoids them all with ease.
Verdins is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Arkinson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Arkinson misses with an uppercut. Verdins saw that one coming.
Verdins is trying hard to land a takedown here. Arkinson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Arkinson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Arkinson cracks Verdins with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Arkinson throws out a powerful jab.
Verdins with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Arkinson to score with a decent uppercut.
Verdins gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Arkinson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Arkinson looks to land a combination but Verdins avoids it well.
Nice uppercut lands for Arkinson. That snapped Verdins's head back.

Arkinson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Arkinson cracks Verdins with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Verdins falls to his knees and Arkinson doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Arkinson!
