The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters circling a little - Solace finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

We've been told by Solace's head coaches at McGrady FT that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Solace does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

That was a close round but I would say that Schizo Solace will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Tengri moves out of range as Solace throws a body kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Solace lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tengri has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tengri and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Solace has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Tengri might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Solace has got the better of the exchanges.

Tengri has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Solace.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's time! Solace's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Tengri fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tengri crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Solace - the referee stops the clock and Tengri gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Solace. Tengri manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Solace here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Schizo Solace.
Well Solace has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
