Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hade Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Soledad Moreno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wood comes to the cage accompanied by Mama Said Knock You Out. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hade Wood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Soledad Moreno! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wood will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wood looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wood misses with a body shot.

Moreno fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wood, pushing him back against the cage. Moreno has Wood pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wood drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wood jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Wood postures up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Wood pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Moreno doesn't manage to clinch there - Wood circles away.
Wood closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wood lands in his opponent's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Moreno holds on and takes a little breather. Wood pushing down on Moreno's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Moreno has eaten all the pies! Wood thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Moreno wants to control but Wood is keeping busy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wood waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Moreno. Moreno fails with an attempt to clinch.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Moreno takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Moreno fails with an attempt to clinch.
Moreno will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Moreno gets caught flat footed, as Wood shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Wood keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Moreno's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hade Wood dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

That's one minute gone in the round. Moreno has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wood can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Wood content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Wood works over Moreno with some ground and pound from guard. Moreno is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Wood slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Moreno is trying to control the position but Wood postures up. Moreno manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wood manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Moreno won't allow Wood to sweep him here. Wood can't keep his opponent in guard - Moreno advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Moreno wants to control but Wood is keeping him busy. Wood is defending against the submission attempts here by Moreno.

Moreno seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wood does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Moreno is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wood throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wood swats away the attempt to clinch by Moreno. Moreno shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wood counters with a left to the body. Moreno moves out of range of the strikes. Wood shoots in and bounces Moreno off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Moreno looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wood is one step ahead there.

Wood is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Moreno utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Moreno doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wood decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Moreno's guard. Hade Wood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Soledad Moreno. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Moreno working a defensive guard here.

Wood feints and as Moreno raises his hands in defense, Wood changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Moreno is trying to keep Wood in close.

And that's the end of the fight! Hade Wood showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wood, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
