Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Dai (ranked 4420 p4p, 24773 weight class) and Rashad Denson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Dai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rashad Denson! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Reed Andrews and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dai circles away from the clinch attempt.
Denson dives in and grabs Dai's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dai pushes down on Denson's head and hops out. Dai clinches. Denson tries to pull guard but Dai forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Dai tries to circle away but Denson has him pinned against the cage. Dai gets control of Denson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dai will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Dai pulls Denson in to control the position. Denson wants to control from the top but Dai keeps moving. Dai has his hands on Denson's head, controlling the position. Denson looks winded! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Denson throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dai has Denson pulled in close to control his posture. Dai kicks Denson off and gets to his feet. Dai throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dai throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Denson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dai is in Denson's guard. Denson is looking to stand back up but Dai counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Denson. Denson won't allow Dai to pass to mount. Still in half guard, Dai seems content to control. Denson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Denson tries to get to full guard but Dai has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dai wants to work for an arm triangle but Denson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Dai throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Dai takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Dai is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Denson! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dai looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dai with the ground and pound from mount. Dai controlling his opponent. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dai seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Denson for as long as he can get away with. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dai lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Denson hang on? Dai content just to control the position here. Dai has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Denson's face.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dai lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Denson is rocked! Dai controlling the pace for now. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
John Dai dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Denson tries to keep at a distance but Dai has taken the fight into the clinch. Denson avoiding damage as Dai throws knees to the body.
Dai stops a takedown attempt from Denson.
A battle for position here, against the cage. Dai breaks from the clinch.
Dai gets the takedown into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dai stands up and beckons Denson to his feet. Dai feints and as Denson raises his hands in defense, Dai changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Denson is still in real trouble! Can Dai finish him? Dai postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Denson covers up, he's hurt! Dai keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Dai and the ref steps in to end the fight! Dai can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Dai!
