Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ewgenju Scorfna (ranked 2260 p4p, 1792 weight class) and Pinky Eye (ranked 297 p4p, 238 weight class). Eye has chosen Antti Tuisku - Grind mayhem as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Pinky Eye enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scorfna gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Eye counters with a shoot takedown. Scorfna fights it but they end up in guard.
Scorfna looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Eye controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Eye drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Eye jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Scorfna is pulling down on Eye's head. It's preventing any offense from Eye, at least for the moment.

Scorfna seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Scorfna is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Eye rolls with it to try and escape but Scorfna cranks on the arm and Eye is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
