Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darongo throws a body punch but Mir moves out of range.
Mir feinted with a counter takedown.
Darongo connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Darongo closes the distance and clinches.
Mir drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Darongo gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Mir is looking for a triangle here but Darongo uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Mir could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Darongo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mir's shoulder. That is not cool.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Darongo has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mir clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Well, with Darongo on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Mir is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Darongo has the hooks in. Mir is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Mir is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Darongo.

Darongo throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Let's hope that Darongo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Darongo thuds a left hand into Mir's body.
Darongo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mir stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Darongo has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Mir is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Mir tries to clinch up but Darongo pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Mir to the mat! Mir covers up and Darongo unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
