Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Orduoronartai Bora (ranked 3124 p4p, 3522 weight class) and Charlie Simmer (ranked 415 p4p, 451 weight class). Simmer has chosen Lynyrd Skynyrd - Swamp Music as his entrance music. Orduoronartai Bora has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Orduoronartai Bora! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charlie Simmer! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simmer leaves Bora with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Simmer tries to clinch there but Bora circles away.
A jab lands there for Simmer.
It looks like Orduoronartai Bora has been cut. The fight moves into the clinch position. Simmer is trying to break the clinch but Bora has him pressed against the cage. Simmer is trying to pull guard but Bora turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Simmer wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Simmer blocks an elbow strike from Bora.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Simmer tries to pull guard but Bora holds him up against the cage and eventually Simmer drops back down to his feet.
Bora pulls guard. Bora is looking to stand up but Simmer isn't so interested in that idea.

Simmer is looking to work some ground and pound but Bora has wrist control. Simmer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bora has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Simmer has managed to get both his arms back between Bora's legs - danger averted. Simmer is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Simmer trying to control the position from guard on top but Bora is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Simmer postures up in Bora's guard and throws a big left but Bora blocks it. Bora has his hands on Simmer's head, controlling the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bora trying to control but Simmer is working from the bottom. Simmer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bora sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Simmer's guard. Bora thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Simmer's head. Bora uses his free foot to push down on Simmer's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Simmer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Simmer throwing hammer fists to the chest of Bora. What's that going to do exactly? Bora unloading with bombs! Simmer looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Bora's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
We've been informed that Simmer has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Bora is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Simmer is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Simmer closes the distance and clinches. Bora successfully pulls guard.

Simmer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bora haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Simmer trying to control but Bora is working from the bottom. Bora is trying to control the position but Simmer postures up. Simmer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Simmer trying to control the position from guard on top but Bora is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Simmer postures up and lands a big shot to Bora's brow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Simmer preventing the sweep. Simmer is fighting to break Bora's control of his arms but Bora is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Bora controls Simmer momentarily but Simmer frees himself.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Simmer wants to clinch. Simmer goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Simmer leaves Bora with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Simmer shoots in for a takedown but Bora shows good takedown defense. Bora is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Simmer. Bora misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Charlie Simmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Simmer rushes Bora and presses him up against the cage. Simmer drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bora gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Orduoronartai Bora. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bora tries to pull guard but Simmer won't allow it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bora breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Charlie Simmer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Orduoronartai Bora's cut. That's time! Bora's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Simmer clinches up against the cage. Simmer pressing his opponent against the cage. Simmer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Simmer fails in his attempt to clinch. Bora changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Simmer connects with a right hand. Bora shakes it off. Bora tries to score a power double leg takedown but Simmer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bora somewhat. Simmer is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Simmer gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bora pulls guard effortlessly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Simmer trying to control but Bora is working from the bottom. Simmer lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Simmer trying to control but Bora is working from the bottom. Bora scrambles and gets back to his feet.
No luck for Simmer with that takedown attempt. Simmer lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Simmer. Simmer tries to clinch there but Bora circles away.

Bora appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Bora will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Simmer scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Orduoronartai Bora's cut is getting worse. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bora tries to clinch up but Simmer circles away and keeps his distance. Simmer darts in and clinches Bora up against the cage. Simmer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bora avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Simmer leaves Bora with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bora wants to free his trapped foot but Simmer is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bora seems to be working for a kimura but Simmer defends the submission attempt. Simmer wants to get back to his feet.
Simmer tries to get to full guard but Bora has control of the leg. Bora wants to lay and pray for a moment but Simmer keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Simmer missing with punches from the bottom.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Bora controlling the action here. Simmer blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bora.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Simmer tries to close the distance and clinch but Bora swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Simmer tries to clinch up but Bora circles away and keeps his distance. Simmer tries to clinch there but Bora circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! Charlie Simmer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Simmer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
