The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Thorgard as Voss shoots in.
Thorgard attempts a counter takedown but Voss avoids it well and moves away.
Voss shoots in for a takedown but Thorgard shows good takedown defense.
Thorgard half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Voss fails to land the takedown.
Thorgard changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Bjorn Thorgard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Voss.
Voss looks winded!
Voss tries to score a power double leg takedown but Thorgard sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Voss somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thorgard is working Voss over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Thorgard gets to his feet and stands over Voss, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Voss felt that one! Thorgard unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Voss from any more punishment!
