Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Lawson (ranked 2649 p4p, 3538 weight class) and Omari Morales (ranked 345 p4p, 448 weight class). Omari Morales will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Lawson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Omari Morales! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lawson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Morales manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Lawson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Lawson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Morales tries to improve position but can't. Lawson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Lawson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lawson has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Morales prevents Lawson from moving into mount. Morales is trying to work for a sweep but Lawson has mounted him! Lawson has control of Morales's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Morales regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Lawson wants to control the pace but Morales is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lawson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Morales tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lawson unloads with some shots from mount but Morales bucks and avoids them well.
Lawson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Lawson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Lawson thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Morales really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Lawson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Morales has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Morales tries to improve his position but instead Lawson has taken his back! Morales tries to escape but Lawson has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lawson misses with punches from the back. Lawson looking for the choke but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Morales is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Morales is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Morales is trying to get back to his feet but Lawson has full control of the position and if anything, Morales has just worked his way into a worse spot. Lawson is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Morales trying to control the hands but Lawson breaks the grip. Lawson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Morales knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Morales for a finish. Lawson staying out of range there. Morales connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Lawson shoots in and bounces Morales off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Lawson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Morales wants to sweep here but Lawson controlling him for the moment. Lawson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lawson connects with a nice short shot to Morales's temple. Morales tries to get to full guard but Lawson has control of the leg. Lawson is looking to take a break and control but Morales is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Morales is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lawson is figuring out what he wants to do next. Lawson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Morales!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morales tries to lock up and control but Lawson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Lawson working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Lawson is in the full mount, landing strikes. Morales is trying to stand. Lawson controlling from the full mount. Lawson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Morales to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Morales shrugs it off. Lawson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Morales can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Lawson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Morales can do to turn this around? Lawson has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Morales is in real trouble here.
