Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Lawson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Omari Morales!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Morales manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Lawson passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Lawson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Morales tries to improve position but can't.
Lawson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Lawson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Morales is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Morales is trying to get back to his feet but Lawson has full control of the position and if anything, Morales has just worked his way into a worse spot.
