Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between William Wallace (ranked 757 p4p, 1258 weight class) and Dusty Sleeth (ranked 113 p4p, 181 weight class). William Wallace had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dusty Sleeth!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace shoots in for a takedown but Sleeth shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wallace shoots in for a double leg but Sleeth sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Sleeth fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sleeth leaves Wallace with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William Wallace. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sleeth shoots in and bounces Wallace off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Wallace escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sleeth gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sleeth slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sleeth throws a big right hand that misses.
Sleeth lands a couple of digs.

Wallace has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sleeth can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Wallace is looking to cinch up a triangle. Sleeth throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Wallace's body to avoid the submission. Wallace has instead reached around Sleeth's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Wallace arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). William Wallace!

After winning the bout, William Wallace thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Dusty Sleeth was interviewed post fight and said 'I’m coming back, better then ever! '.
