Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Dent (ranked 22534 p4p, 2917 weight class) and Erich Von Blomberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dent comes to the cage accompanied by Dr. Feelgood. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Blomberg lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Bobby Dent has been cut.
Von Blomberg throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

so Dent counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Von Blomberg has his feet on Dent's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Erich Von Blomberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dent shoots for a takedown but Von Blomberg saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dent showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Von Blomberg.

Von Blomberg gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Dent not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Dent seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Von Blomberg for as long as he can get away with.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dent prevents Von Blomberg from getting back to his feet.
Dent is looking to work some ground and pound but Von Blomberg has wrist control.

Dent is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Dent drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Von Blomberg dives on top into guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Von Blomberg tries to stand but Dent is controlling from the bottom.

Von Blomberg must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Von Blomberg wants to stand and escape but instead Dent has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Von Blomberg is looking to stand up but Dent isn't so interested in that idea.
Dent trying to control the position from guard on top but Von Blomberg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dent is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Dent has gone for a leg lock! Von Blomberg slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Von Blomberg gets to his feet - Dent follows without any prompting.
Von Blomberg throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dent counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and Dent cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

A jab-cross combination lands for Von Blomberg and sends Dent crashing to the mat! Von Blomberg follows him down to the mat - Dent regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Dent is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Von Blomberg stops a takedown attempt from Dent.
Dent has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Von Blomberg is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Dent. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dent changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Von Blomberg fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dent will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Von Blomberg throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dent throws a quick counter head kick but Von Blomberg was just out of range.
A punch combination from Von Blomberg misses.
Dent appears to be looking for a big counter.
Von Blomberg misses with a few strikes there.
Dent get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Dent stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Von Blomberg runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Erich Von Blomberg was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
